    Pré-requis :

-        Knowledge of the anatomical-functional organization of the nervous system (from neurons to neural networks)

-        Knowledge of anatomical and functional neuroimaging methods (MRI, fMRI, EEG, PET…)

-        Basic knowledge of the cell biology and genetics methods to investigate gene expression, protein synthesis, and intracellular communication.

    Compétences attestées (transversales, spécifiques) :

Transversales

-        Know how to search bibliographic databases, identify relevant publications related to a specific topic and synthetize information (written and oral synthesis)

Specifiques

-        Know how to identify and characterize a scientific problem in clinical neurosciences

-        Know how to critically analyze results originating studies in clinical neurosciences

-        Know the tools used in clinical neurosciences

    Programme de l'UE / Thématiques abordées :
This course will present different neurological and psychiatric pathologies (example: head trauma, stroke, brain tumor, addiction, depression, altered states of consciousness, chronic physiological and psychological pain, Parkinson's disease, neurodevelopmental disorders [autism, dyspraxia, disorders with deficit attention with or without hyperactivity…)]. These pathologies will be addressed from the gene (molecular and cellular mechanisms) to the patient (symptoms) and will include the description of the different therapeutic approaches. Group works will focus on training in critical analysis of the results, and will involve the students in an oral presentation. During the practical works, students will implement classic lesion mapping and anatomo-clinical correlation approaches and will deepen their knowledge of neurostimulation techniques used as rehabilitation intervention.
