The Mechanical Engineering Department at Polytech Lyon is dedicated to training engineers capable of addressing the major challenges facing modern industry, such as the energy transition, sustainable manufacturing, and the integration of innovative technologies. Building on a strong foundation in both theoretical and applied mechanics, the program provides students with the skills needed to model, optimize, and design mechanical systems. The curriculum emphasizes innovation, adaptability, and a multidisciplinary approach, preparing graduates for impactful careers across a wide range of sectors.
This three-year Mechanical Engineering program at Polytech Lyon (Engineering Cycle, starting at Bachelor+2 level) provides students with a comprehensive education in mechanics, covering in particular:
Students gain extensive experience with state-of-the-art software for simulation, multiphysics modelling, and computer-aided design (CAD). The curriculum develops both scientific expertise and practical skills, enabling students to tackle real-world industrial problems, from design through to production.
