The Research and Motor Disability Rehabilitation (REHAB) pathway is designed for professionals interested in the assessment and research of motor disability rehabilitation, with three main educational objectives:
Acquire assessment tools for motor disabilities based on the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF) model, including identification of personal and environmental factors involved: movement analysis, measurement of energy expenditure, physical activity and dependency questionnaires, and so on.
Acquire the foundational knowledge for developing motor rehabilitation techniques grounded in evidence-based medicine (EBM) applied to various rehabilitation treatments. These are most often non-pharmacological interventions: muscle strengthening techniques, physical treatment of balance and movement disorders, exercise reconditioning, developmental care, and therapeutic education protocols.
Acquire the methodological foundations for developing compensatory methods for motor disabilities, including prosthetics and orthotics for limbs and the trunk, mobility aids, domotics devices, and support for socio-professional reintegration. This also covers procedures to accompany the care pathway and life project of individuals with disabilities, addressing personal and psychological aspects as well as societal dimensions, following an inclusive model.
Through its specialisations, the MASTER in Health (MASTER Santé) trains:
Health professionals whose work is carried out directly with individuals with disabilities.
Professionals contributing to the organisation of care for people with disabilities and supporting their families, social networks, and professional environments.
Health geographers, for industrial or academic sectors, focusing on research into the determinants of health.
Philosophers capable of interacting with healthcare stakeholders, particularly trained in modern methods for investigating pathologies and their representations.
Clinical psychologists in the health field, trained in assessment, prevention, psychotherapeutic intervention, and various healthcare practices.
Epidemiologists, specialists in large-scale health risk studies, health evaluation (research officers, quality advisors), and clinical research (clinical research associates, study coordinators).
Legal professionals specialised in health law, capable of working with public health practitioners and implementing health education and prevention programmes.
