Pré-requis :
Students are expected to have basic knowledge in biology, familiarity with scientific literature, and proficiency in written and oral English. They should also be comfortable using digital tools for research and have the ability to analyze and synthesize scientific information critically.

Programme de l'UE / Thématiques abordées :
This course provides an introduction to scientific communication and the dissemination of knowledge in the context of digital transformation and open science. It explores open access and evolving models of scholarly publishing, while examining their ethical, social, and scientific implications, as well as the challenges of the publication process.
Students develop practical skills in literature search and scientific monitoring using tools such as PubMed, Zotero, and AI-powered platforms for bibliographic research, along with critical analysis of scientific publications as well as the principles of scientific writing in English.
The focus is on effective oral and audiovisual communication, including the preparation of clear and engaging presentations. The course also addresses the role of artificial intelligence in scientific writing, encouraging its responsible and critical use.
Teaching is practice-oriented, with individual and group work fostering autonomy, critical thinking, and synthesis skills applied to students’ research topics.
