The Master’s Degree in Microbiology at the University of Lyon 1 is the 2016 evolution of the Microbiology specialisation within the Ecosciences Microbiology Master’s programme, which has existed since 2007.
It aims to train students in the current challenges of microbiology, encompassing both fundamental and applied aspects of the discipline. The programme benefits from the strong research potential of the microbiology teams within the Lyon scientific community.
A research initiation placement (seven weeks) is offered during the first year (M1), while the second year (M2) includes a long-term internship (at least five months) carried out either in an academic laboratory or within industry.
